Happy 4th of July

Happy Independence Day!
This was our first 4th of July with Teryn. One of the best parts was that James got a long weekend so we were able to spend an extra whole day with him. There was no way we were going to enter a huge crowd of people with Teryn and she certainly isn't ready for fireworks so we made plans that worked for us. Saturday we went to the store looking for an Elmo. Teryn has an Elmo balloon that we use as part of her therapy for focus and tracking. She loves it. She even smiles at it sometimes. She had a Toys R Us gift certificate from her Texas cousins so we decided to use that to try and find an Elmo. They didn't have any Elmos at all for babies under 12 months. Instead we found some great Baby Einstein sets that we love.
We all dressed in our red, white, and blue for the occasion.

I don't usually crave steak but I was in the mood for a good one and what better day to grill out. I got a yummy fillet and marinated it all night. It rained until almost 9pm so we had to wait to start the grill. I ended up having to grill it in the dark and the rain but it turned out absolutely delicious. There will be an encore presentation very soon!
